1995 Santa Barbara Summit
Edison International hosted the fourth Summit in May 1995, in Santa Barbara, California, USA. The chosen theme for the Chairs’ reflections was Technologies for Sustainable Development. Although no Joint Statement was signed, the Chairs made a number of significant decisions regarding Electric Vehicles, Electric Technology Application Centres, a plan to host a Round Table and a plan to develop a Greenhouse Gas position statement.
e8 Priorities
Major global environmental and social issues that affect the electric utility industry are considered to be the top priorities of the e8.
The issues of sustainable development, climate change, social trust, and internationalisation are the focus of the e8's actions.
