Ofer Ben Dov

Ofer Ben-Dov, of Israel. Mr. Ofer Ben-Dov holds degrees in Practical Engineering, Electronic and Computers, as well as in Environmental Science and Biotechnology from Tel-Hai College in Israel. He is a Masters student in the Faculty of Environmental Studies at York University in Canada. Mr. Ben-Dov’s research involves developing a sustainable business model for use in the Middle East.

Liping Duan

Duan, of China. Ms. Liping Duan has a Bachelor and a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Dalian University of Technology in China. She is undertaking a Masters pro gramme in Environmental Management at Cornell University in the United States. Her research includes a feasibility study for an eco-industrial park in South Eastern China.

Francis Odeke

Vincent Odeke, of Uganda. Mr. Francis Vincent Odeke has a Bachelor of Science degree inAgriculture from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda. He is pursuing a Masters programme in International Development at Clark University in the United States. Mr. Odeke is conducting fi eld research on the potential for small-scale decentralised energy generation strategies in rural Uganda.

Post-Doctoral

Godong Sun

Dr. Guodong Sun is a graduate of Tsinghua University, China, in Systems Engineering, and has a Masters and a PhD in Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University in the United States. Dr. Sun is engaged in post-doctoral research at Carnegie Mellon and the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. His research focuses on the sustainable development of China’s electricity industry.

Established in 2001 to support outstanding students in advanced studies of sustainable energy development , the e8 Scholarship Programme offers two-year scholarships to Masters and Post-Doctoral students.
